Nastia Yanson
I’m a multidisciplinary, concept-driven artist working across art-objects, installation, photography and video art. My practice is grounded in observation and often begins with moments of dissonance — when familiar reality reveals itself as artificial, unstable or unreliable.

My projects often address states of instability, transformation and embodied perception, paying attention to the shifting boundary between the real and the constructed. For each project I develop its own visual and material language. I work across objects, environments and actions, selecting media and methods in response to the idea and the specific context.

Viewer involvement is central to my practice. I approach projects as situations to be entered, where interaction, tactility, humor and moments of subtle discomfort guide the viewer’s attention and bodily engagement.

I began my artistic path in illustration, which continues to inform my sense of narrative and visual structure. Alongside my personal practice, I’m open to collaborations with galleries, brands and creative teams, working with visual concepts, art direction, set design, props and illustration.
